I need your help! I am the reigning and defending Chili Wars Champion at the 5th Corner (Saline's Teen Center), and on Saturday March 1st from 11:30-1:30, I'll be putting my title on the line. I'm going to mix things up a little bit for this one - I'm leaving my championship chili at home and bringing a new recipe. My goal is to become the first two-time champion, and to also do it with two totally different chilies. Bring it on!
There will be about 10 other contestants that will each be making a large pot of chili. Each of us will have a donation box at our serving station. You can vote for my chili by giving a donation to the 5th Corner. Your donations can range anywhere from $1 to $20, or even more. Whoever gets the most donations at the end of the competition wins. The donations will go straight to the 5th Corner, and especially to the events that the 5th Corner Student Board is planning. Overall, this is a great way to support Saline's Teen Center, the 5th Corner.
Within the competition, I am also choosing my favorite charity to support. If I win, the 5th Corner will be writing a check of 15% of the proceeds right to the Foundation for Saline Area Schools.
Come support me (and the 5th Corner), have lunch, and enjoy some fun times at the 5th Corner on Saturday, March 1st from 11:30-1:30. All in all, it's a great time trying all of the different chilies and a relatively inexpensive way to grab an entertaining lunch. It's very kid friendly, so don't hesitate to bring the entire family.
Please come and help me become "Back to Back" 5th Corner Chili Wars Champion on Saturday, March 1st from 11:30-1:30!
Thanks a ton!
