Your child received information today about the Toronto Fundraiser that our PTO is piloting this year. Students have the option to get friends/family to sponsor them to participate in the Dance-A-Thon / Activity Night. Friends and family can give donations via check (made out to Saline Area Schools Student Fund), cash, or online through Payschools. All money raised will go directly to your child’s Toronto trip. This year, the Toronto trip will cost $360.
The Dance-A-Thon / Activity Night is free for sixth graders and will be held on September 27th from 3:00-5:00p.m. 7th and 8th graders will be invited to attend and will pay $5.00. Sixth graders that decide not to participate in the fundraiser are still welcome to attend this event for free. The money made from 7th and 8th graders attending, along with food sales, will be put in the Toronto Scholarship fund.
To make this event a success, we need 6th grade parents to chaperone. We’ll be offering dancing in the cafeteria, a movie (Hugo) in the auditorium, open gym for athletics, and a game room, so the more supervision, the better. If you’re able to chaperone, please email Amber Sotelo at: [email protected].
All money should be collected and turned into me the day of the dance, September 27th.
Lastly, through eight years of teaching, I can honestly say that I get more and more excited for the Toronto trip each year. It’s an AMAZING two-day journey through Toronto and Niagara Falls. I know that any student that attends the trip will make life-lasting memories. I truly hope that each student is able to attend.
Thanks for your support, and don’t hesitate to contact me with questions, etc.
